SQLyog has now an Open-Source edition!
I just saw today that SQLyog, an excellent mySQL database manager tool running on windows has released an opensource “community” edition!
You can see a nice, clear summary of the differences between their community edition and their commercial Enterprise edition at http://www.webyog.com/en/sqlyog_feature_matrix.php. There you can see a few good reasons to upgrade to the enterprise edition: in my case, http tunneling and synchronisation tools. That’s really well targeted, as only professionals need these. For the casual home developer, the community edition will be fine.
You can download a copy of SQLyog at http://www.webyog.com/en/downloads.php and there is an extensive FAQ at http://www.webyog.com/faq/.
Happy SQLing !
